Ive had the napier one for a little over a year now. Used it about 8 times. It works very well and my wife and I can have it completely set up including inflating the air mattress in 10 min. We build it then lift it out all assembled and leave it at our camp site while were out and about for the day. At night it takes about two minutes to throw it back in to sleep. Nice and tall inside and doesnt let rain in with the fly on. For a simple, cost effective, easily packable sleeping solution its pretty good.

I’ve used mine once. It’s freat with a cot and pad. Still able to stand up to get dressed and what not.

I've never really understood the point of having a tent in a small truck bed versus putting one on the ground. But I can see in that situation with a few feet of snow it makes total sense!

LB helps :). If I didn’t have a retractable tonneau I’d have an extra 8 inches up front. The cot was hitting the tent door but it was great! Enjoyed that trip. Can’t wait to get a RTT after the other laundry list of things I want.

Ground tenting, with uneven ground, rocks and roots, ants and critters, tent stakes, and so forth, is not fun. Bed tenting just seems more civilized and protected, because you are off the ground with an even surface.

Some possible drawbacks of truck bed tenting is the truck bed has to be emptied, and in cold weather you lose the insulation provided by the ground.

I have that exact Napier tent, it’s an awesome truck tent. Never had issues for me and my wife. We use it very regularly, it even has held up through some Oregon thunderstorms, so they’re very durable.

The truck I purchased was on the showroom floor with a Yakima tent installed. The tent mounted above the bed so you didn't have to unload the truck to put up the tent. The expandable ladder makes me think this could also be mounted on the roof. The wife said no way since we already have an RV. It took 2 people maybe 5 minutes to remove the tent from the truck. Pretty cool. (That's someone else checking out my new truck)

Used ours last year and went through Utah and Northern AZ. Went through the Grand Canyon and had a great time. Got to places that we won't be able to get to with the trailer. Wife and I had a great time, easy set up and tear down.
Note: it isn't all the way up to the cab due to the roll-up tonneau. Bed was essentially dust free, and all our beer & supplies stayed out of the sun while we went from spot to spot.

    Enjoy your adventures!

I may get one of those truck bed tents before marijuana becomes legal here in Illinois the 1st on Jan. 2020. I can lay up at the river stoned for days. LOL! I use to have a 1988 Dodge Caravan that I took the back seats out and put a "twin" size mattress in the back. Had allot of fun laying up on the river bank until the weather warmed up. Freaking skeeters would eat me up if I left the rear lift gate up. LOL!

Short bed taco with an air mattress. Works great. Super cheap on Amazon, like 60 bucks. Not overpaying for some of these other ones I'm seeing posted. That's way too much money.

Currently have relentless fab bed bars, but I have to take them off every time. One day I will have an RTT.

Actually I have not touched the stuff in over 19 years. Lost 2 good 1st Mate jobs on the river back in the 1990's after dirty urine test's. I really cannot see myself smoking it again when it becomes legal. But who knows...I was looking at Dugouts online the other day.
