Check the valve core is tight. That could be the culprit. Do you store your bike upside down? I hang my bike from the front wheel to keep the seals wet.

What do mean blown the fork when you tied it down?

I know. From the first demo, I was hooked.
Went to snag the first one... sold
Regret not jumping on someone else's... no names shall be mentioned...
Then was toying with a FullStache.... missed that...

Bought another motorcycle instead. Reality is, between work, and everything else, I dont get much time to ride the bikes I already have.
    Does NOT reduce the want.
Now, a carbon one at that price.... Id have done it.
But, I would probably have to cave and either sell the Salsa, or the Fuel

    :eek:Dammnnnnn, that's a beautiful f'n bike, man!

As for my choice of steel vs. carbon and others, the primary reason is because steel is easy to weld/repair in any small American town. Second, it just rides to smooth. Ya just have to love a well built steel bike.

Tom at Vassago is exactly who I've been talking to about a frame for the last year or so. His bikes are rock solid performers with excellent modern geometry. Hell, his Jaberwocky was actually before its time!

The Hayduke was always on the short list, as well, but there are now many others with 29+ offerings I'm considering.

A Surley would definitely be the responsible choice, so they're on the list.

Yeah this could happen over time, especially if you ride in rough conditions. Since your air cartridge is leaking you will need a full rebuild, not only seals. Sounds like grime got into the lowers and into the air chamber

Another I forgot to mention is, i f you like steel, you might also consider looking at a Soma Wolverine or Valhallen. I previously owned one of their Juice 29" MTB with the Tange Prestige tubing and it was a genuinely fun, lively, and comfortable ride!

Lake Town. They sponsor a lot of the steezy youth bike riders around here. Despite being one of the smallest shops.

Yeah, the carbon frame at that price point made it a no brainer. I rode my 40lb fat bike the day before so when I loaded the stache over the tailgate, it weirded me out for a sec how light it was.

One thing that is taking some getting used to: The KS dropper post it has. I am used to my Command Post which is...exuberant...in it's extension towards your squishy bits. The KS just kinda..."sigh...well, ok then" *raise*

If my wife ever leaves me, though, I'm moving out there the next day... soooo... there's that.

    Until then, it's yours.

    Awesome score man...
And I like the KS on my Fuel just like you said, nice and easy. The one on the Salsa is a Trans-X. No issues with it... just prefer the KS in this case.
I dunno, Im not yalls level....

Oh, it's a good dropper. Just MUCH slower than the command post, which is borderline dangerous.

Have you ever seen a sad person on a bike? I don't think so...

Well, I did once. Dude on a single speed came UNGLUED on the trail midway through a race in Durango. Prob could have offered him $50 and scored a steel frame beauty after the race was over.

I'm demoing a GIANT Trance Advanced Pro 29 tonight on one of our local flow trails. The owner of my local shop is trying to convince me to sell my 2016 Ibis Mojo3 and pick up the new Trance to replace it. I'm not completely opposed to the idea, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Anyone have any experience with the latest GIANT rides?

The trance is a solid steed. That's not a bad choice.

I seriously considered that bike on my recent "new to me" bike hunt. Maestro is a magnificent pedaling platform. It can get a little overwhelmed in the really rough chunky stuff. But overall and in flowy stuff its grand. I'm gonna wager you're about to be ditching that Ibis soon.

I ride a Trance 2. The top of the line aluminum version. It is 27.5. It is my first full squish bike but I freaking love it. So much fun very playful. Rode 8 miles yesterday on some of the toughest trails in my area and it took everything I threw at it and kept on trucking. 10/10 would recommend.
