I am trying to secure a deal on a 2019 TRD Off Road. I am no stranger to Toyota, the family's history:

    1998 4Runner base 2wd 190k when traded for a 2004 Corolla
    1996 4Runner SR5 4x4 Factory locker 5MT 293k miles going strong
    1996 4Runner SR5 4x4 5MT 130K miles
1998 Tacoma SR5 4x4 5MT Died horrifically in a end over end roll over at 300k miles
2004 Corolla S 5MT Died at 167k miles (Valve stem Oil leak until oil too low and dead)
2015 Corolla S 6MT Lease, Really nice car almost wish I bought it
2007 Tundra 200k miles Living in Alaska dropping boats down slippery launches
2008 Tundra 2wd 180k miles Living in Florida dropping boats down less slippery launches
    2018 4Runner Limited Grandma's ride

Oddly enough the main reason why I am finally making an account on here (long time lurker mainly for crossover info for my 4Runner) I need a new car after the Corolla died and this time around my new car needs to be car seat compatible! My wife is due in December for our first little one. I have been trying to swing a Tacoma for a long time but now it's in the cards. A 6MT because Autos suck.

Take it for a long test drive, overnight if you can.

I am relatively dead set on a Tacoma. I had an opportunity to test drive a 6MT for 10 miles. I think my problem with test driving things is everything is light years ahead of my 96 4Runner daily driver.

I basically want the smallest truck that I can also fit a car seat into, tow a trailer with 2 dirt bikes, load 1000+ lbs of firewood into the bed and have a manual transmission. I think the transmission choice is my main limiting factor but I am going to row my own gears till I am dead even if I have to drive old trash for the rest of my life.
