    They are tricky. I promise. Doable though. Finished swapping intake cams yesterday for some testing. Easier with two people for certain!

    I think the cams aren’t what I am afraid of. They may take me a bit longer to do, but I think I could get it done. It’s the springs that I am squirmy about.

    Yup. It has been done on many an engine . Domestic to import. It can be done. I have never done it though. Right plan, and right tools.

    Will a M112 bolt on to the TRD manifold? (I am unfamiliar with your blowers)

    The closest I have come to any engine work is taking the head off a 3 cylinder ford tractor from the 70s. That was fun let me tell you. Actually no, I think the funnest part was reinstalling everything. The good news is the tractor still works, but it seems there may be an issue in the bottom end after we have redone the top end :lalala:
    It’s better than it was though.

    I also helped removing the head from a big beast inline 6 turbo caterpillar engine. I was mostly just watching and being an extra set of hands though.

    I’ve got access to an engine builder but I’d have to buy

    Another 3UZ
    2UZ heads
    And all the other internals that I’d want added on

    All that can probably buy the land cruiser I want.

    Mine is an M90. M112 would send pieces of engine flying across the highway.

    I'm not so sure. We're really talking about volume of air, not boost. I think that's our limitation with the 90.

    Well the M112 moves more air with less revolutions. Found this awhile ago, take it for what you will.

    I find it strange that they have basically the same dimensions?? The housing is just a few inches longer.
    I mean if it makes more air flow, we could run it with a larger pulley to get the same air flow with room to grow.

    Stop posting this you are giving me very very dangerous ideas lol.

    The advantage of the M112 is that it CAN move more air, but the rotors will not physically fit the housing and since the our blower is a MP90 and not an M90 it would complicate things even further.

    This is been a long discussed mod on many Ford forums and the end result was always that the rotors would not fit for one reason or another unless you had a lot of money and a lot of capability with means of measuring and cutting the housing. This much like the 6 rib design that we were longing for for a little bit will only end in heartbreak for you.

    I thought in 2016 they updated to a 6 speed manual? Or was that the only the v6?

    The 4 bangers have always come with a 5spd manual. The auto 4 cyl was updated from a 4spd to a 6spd auto in the 3rd gens, but they never put a 6spd manual behind the 2.7 unfortunately! That would be awesome though if they did
