I’m not a “dodge” fan, but I am a big Cummins fan and believe it is the best performing diesel truck on the road. The mechanical 12 valve Cummins is one of the best Diesel engines ever made and their newer diesels have far less issues than the competitors in the class.

The resale value on any diesel is pretty darn good as well.

Definitely wouldn’t buy a dodge gasoline engine.

Awesome! When I was in HS, my neighbor across the street did the foreign exchange student program thing and had a student from Spain as well. His name was Fernando Sanchez, I'll never forget him, super nice kid.

Guys, Been contemplating my options as far as buying a new truck is concerned looking at spending out of pocket 14-20k. Ive been throwing out the idea of doing a 4wd conversion. looks like at most id have to spend 4k. I have all the tools necessary to do the job. Just not a lot of the know how on some of the stuff. It would be a great learning opportunity. Would any of you guys be interested in helping with this? Just trying to see whats available before i commit to something. Honestly id love to keep my truck if i could.
    Thanks Guys

I wouldn't even think of a 4wd swap unless you had a transmission go bad. Also go wrecked donor, don't try to piece this together.

A wrecked donor you can pull a part at a time and all other parts are stored on vehicle till needed, piecing this together from different people means that you have a garage filled with random parts.

yes i will. My thought is im going to drive it until the wheels fall off anyway so its not gonna be worth anything then lol. I mean i like working on my truck and learning new things about it. So for me i dont see it as work haha like most people do. Its fun lol. Vehicle would never be sold FYI unless someone was just dying to have it.

I had to take a furnace operator to the ER earlier in the week for heat stroke symptoms. It takes a real man to work the furnaces in a foundry. 120+ degrees they are working in 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. I have a hard time getting the supervisors to rotate their employees. They want to work them like a dog!

Hardest part will be the wiring. But i agree with @whitedlite find you a doner. This will help with knowing how to place and run things as well.
