Originally the future connectors weren’t intended. I bought the switch pro back in April 2018, and I purchased the full kit from @Mr.PowerTrays but got swamped with kids and work. Time past and a friend offered all his extra tower and shroud connectors and I took it off his hands. I saw @KTJO 4x4 build and thought hey why the hell not. And since I prefabbed the connectors I figured I’d seal it since in the installation guide warned about installing in the horizontal and using a bus as corrosion is likely to occur.

Btw if you guys forgot to order black screws like I did, grab a torch and heat the screws up to cherry red and dunk them in olive oil. It will turn them black and give it a protective layer. A little trick I learned from a welder.

Pretty sure my Switch Pros has water damage. The panel no longer works unless it is connected to my phone. Tested the continuity through the wire and it for sure is the power module.

Do you have corrosion in the unit mounted under the hood? Is yours mounted vertical or horizontal?

It is mounted Horizontal on a Powertrays mount. No corrosion is visible on the outside, assuming it is internally. It is weird though because it still does function when connected to the app. I wonder if there could be just corrosion internally for the panel wire.

Mines been jumping back and forth. It will be on one day and the next it will be off. All the connections are fine and it functions as normal it's only the backlight that's either on or off depending on the day. (It turns to the dimmed function when the lights are on for both cases)

They all seem fine, but I'm not sure which wire would be causing this to happen. The dimmed function works as it normally would

I finally go around to running my wiring into the fuse box following the main harness. Also cleaned things up a bit and added the SDHQ terminals.

At some point I'm going to cut all my wires to length and make it prettier. Didn't really want to do that until I was sure how and where things would be mounted and wired and get shafted by being 3" too short.

Finally got a chance to get back to this project. Used proper heat shrink crimpers and an extra layer of heat shrink on top of them. Kind of nerve wracking finally cutting into the harness but I think it went well. Anyone spot any issues on this?20190713_195848.jpg
