Convinced my dad to get a Tundra (was a Chevy guy) last year. He hasn’t bought a new car for himself in 15 years. Its also the first non Chevy/GMC he has ever owned.

lol my wife said if I replaced my Tacoma with a truck it had to be another Tacoma... like I would’ve gone with something else.

Next year she gets a 4Runner...

My dad drove Dodge trucks. In 2005 he was going to buy a new Hemi Ram. Told him to check out the Tundra, he did and bought one. Flipped it end over end 5 times in 2009, and bought another one.

I bought my Tacoma because I wanted a good dependable truck.

    Reserected from the dead.
My dealer sent me a letter letting me know that there is a high demand for my model of truck.

They were nice enough to let me know that they have approval to offer me the highest amount for my trade.

So I m pretty happy I got that going for me.

I'll let you know what I get. Off to the showroom...

I guess one positive thing I can point out is today's truck value. Adjusting for inflation, I paid the same $ for my Tacoma in 2018 that I paid for my pickup in 1994. But with the Tacoma I got a bigger truck with 4 doors that has a V6 with twice the horsepower.

    Also:
    -Tow package
-Automatic transmission (if you consider that an upgrade)
    -Alloy wheels
    -Air bags
    -Crash avoidance technology
    -Backup camera
-An infotainment system that I'll never understand (and is probably spying on me).
    -Steering wheel controls
    -Power mirrors with defrosters
    -Power locks
    -Dynamic radar cruise control
-Cup holders, every day I'm finding more cup holders!

Some of which I would trade for the gas tank skid plate that used to be standard on all 4x4's.:sadviolin:

My 16 has been paid off for a couple months. :) take a look at what the used ones are bringing on the open market and that should be enough of a reason to love your truck.
