You’d be genuinely surprised at what a pre runner can do with the right tires. You can’t do any crazy trails but you can most certainly have fun

    Must have upgrades:
    1) Shocks: huge ride improvement and cheap if you install yourself.
    2) Can't think of any thing else which is a must have.

If all you do is drive to work and around town and need the 4wd for snow then there is no need to modify. I wanted 33 inch tires, a lift, skids, and bash plates for the trails I explore regularly, and to me it would be a sin not to explore the trails around here. Had to put on the tranny cooler as it got hot going up trails and up mountain passes.

I've never kept my Tacomas and 4Runners stock. While they're capable trucks stock, where I go and what I do there is no way they'd make it stock. These threads are stupid, anyway. Do what makes you happy.

My Truck for the most part is stock. I would love to lift it but it's a PreRunner and I am now 60 not 30.

"Sin" and "hell" imply a specific religious paradigm. The site's Code of Conduct explicitly forbids religious discussion. So I think you have bigger problems now.

I consider it stock if nothing is done to the wheel/tires, suspension and engine. Off the assembly line the truck is designed to run optimally on the size tires and wheels it comes with. Also, engine and suspension fall under the same criteria. Lifted trucks with larger tires and wheels look great but you wont see one of those trucks surpassing 300xxx miles. That said, it's your truck so make it YOURS. If your not going for high mileage that's your decision.
My 08' is stock. I have added a few electrical items i.e. Better Bed Lights, illuminated 4x4 switch, dash cam, OEM roof rack, dual USB ports in the center arm rest but nothing that would change the designed performance of the truck. 311xxx miles and counting. Just my thoughts.

Never a sin, make your truck what you need. If you don't need the mod don't do it.
