    Hey All,

My 2002 3.4 trans slipped this morning. So when I got to work I checked the trans fluid level. There was absolutely none on the stick. I went a picked some up, but luckily before I added it to the filler tube, I noticed the tube was broken in half. If I would've poured any in the tube, it would have fallen to the ground about 1.5' down the shoot.

The tube has 2 butt ends that look like they could've been welded together, or perhaps there was previously a coupler there? For now I have HVAC metal tape wrapped around it with zip ties on either side of the broken tube. Looking for suggestions on a proper fix for this.

Once the tube was reconnected, I checked the fluid level again, and it was just a little low. I'm assuming that the fluid had likely shot up through the broken tube connection.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
On my 99 model, the trans fluid tube is two-piece design. The two parts are sealed by an o-ring. No welding.

The same on my ‘03. I imagine the ‘02 would be the same.

    It’s a two piece design with O-ring.

Not exactly like your truck or mine, so ignore the part numbers. Just a good example of how the trans tube connects.
