Great timeaday. All this cb talk brings back memories of the big cb craze back in the day cotton pickers, wall to wall and tree top tall

 

I'm gonna clean'em up, maybe paint'em and mount my stainless steel top on them for my garage. that im going to get built on my WV property!!! is what he meant to say!!!

So this CB radio situation is really pissing me off. I tried to tune this thing twice now and i get zero on the SWR meter on every channel.

Then, while trying to pull the cap off the firestick, i’m pretty sure i broke the tip.

Now you all know why i hate fucking with this nonsense and avoided it for years

 

I flipped A LOT of vehicles, some dirtbikes & a couple classic motorcycles to pay cash, I was hustling. Hardly any out of pocket cost.

How did you break an adjustable tip and it’s just a rubber cap that covers it

 

Followed the intstructions. Lead me no where.

Watched videos and followed a step by step tutorial. Yes. I did everything instructed as well as plenty of research.

However, i do not understand what a zero SWR meter reading means.

 

Brian, it won’t come off.

Pretty sure that it got bent when backing into the garage the other night. All i did was finish it off while trying to remove the cap

 

Are you changing channels to see if you get different readings or are they all 0?

 

I will tell you that my cap was kinda stuck or melted from the heat and now my adjustment is off from grabbing cap with pliers...so what did you break exactly

 

Tried 1, 20, and 40. All zero SWR.

I just need some help.

I don’t even understand the difference between Ham and CB. Will I even be able to talk to you guys with Ham radios?

 

No. And I cant help you without being there to work on it unfortunately

 

The whole tip is loose and wiggles back and forth.

The entire portion that the red cap covers, now wiggles. I can shove it straight down and it will stop wiggling, but i have no idea if its broken or not. Zero experience in this stuff. I might as well be retarded.
