Hmm might be a good option as well
Ya figured I didn’t need that one. But the others I want haha. The hopper glass, lights, better shelves for inside and outside.

I think I am going to copy his front shelf and then the same way he did his inside rack mount too.

Endgrain Acacia, classed as a hardwood but I'd say it just makes it out of the softwood classification. One of these winters I will have to make my own. With American hardwood.

Like that idea. I don't travel as far as you and when I do it isn't with my good knives, just Chicago Cutlery knives. Take them to SD for pheasant hunting each year at the Admirals house and the North Shore of Lake Superior grouse hunting. Week from Friday will be camping in 2 RV's for the weekend with 4 other guys North of Duluth, Mn. for the double gun shoot and will take them along. But I only use an old Burris scope box to transport and store LOL.

Also carry an Arkansas stone and steel, that is where the Japanese knives mess me up. Hard for me to force myself to do a 10° bevel. Been doing 20° or more for half a century now, ever since my first knife for skinning and fleshing muskrats.

If you get one, buy a set of the replacement 6000 grit belts. When you thin one of those belts is shot... save it for your favorite knife. When you think that knife is sharp, put one of those old wore out belts on. 2 gentle slow strokes on each side of the knife. Then don't hold the knife too close to your face... whiskers will jump off in surrender. ;) Kinda kidding, kinda not. that final polish makes them scalpel sharp. imo, I don't have any scalpels lol.

I like the rifle case for them. Can keep them oiled and such and they stay put smashed in the foam.

yeah I like the wood species but its actually more expensive to buy lumber than it is to buy one already built, which I dont see how they turn a profit unless they are getting tons for cheap.
