    I just found out what the starting salary is for new guys and it's deflating. I understand the need to offer new hires bigger salaries in a tight job market, but when they start getting too close to what experienced staff makes it might be time to make a move on. It I don't get a raise here in another month it might be time to make a long term plan to exit.

    I've already made my grievances known constructively.

    That sucks, Itchy!! My boy just went thru this. Got hired on at a Federal prison in November. New hires are getting a new hire bonus. He’s pretty pissed. I can’t imagine how someone who has been there longer feels.
