I love that it’s a Toyota for one thing, my aunt and uncle had a 3rd Gen 4Runner and 1st Gen Taco when I was 5-6ish and I thought they were cool even back then. I love how solidly built it feels, how smooth it drives, and I F******G LOVE the go cart seating position. Seriously, it just feels fun to me. Also love the reliability factor and the fact that it can go anywhere sans insane rock crawling and also be a supremely comfortable daily driver.

funny you say that. i identified that seating position and set my truck's suspension up around it, and i drive it like a big kart! in kinda slow motion, of course. I've had a lot, but this is hands down the most fun vehicle I've had.

I am gonna play. A little positivity soothes the soul, after all.

My 08 has been in the shop getting some body work done for the past few weeks. Been in and out of courtesy trucks. Specifically a Ram and a Silverado. Can't tell you how excited I am to get my Taco back. I feel like a longing lover...

I originally bought a 2018 4x2 as I never missed 4x4 capabilities in my 2nd gen. and almost instantly knew I made a mistake. Sold it after a year so I could get a 4x4. Drove the truck 20k miles and it sold for $3k under what I paid. Loved the 4x2 but the 4x4 is the shit! Never been happier in any vehicle.

I find it funny every time I see someone make this statement. I have been approached exactly once about my truck since I bought it in Oct 15. Im pretty sure he really just wanted some beer money.

I haven’t in my gen 3, but the gen 2 always got older guys (60s) ask me how I liked my truck and how it ends up being their dream truck or a purchase they keep debating.

I wear my army retired hat and it does one of two things. Makes me approachable with some, or makes others avoid me like the plague. I prefer the second reaction. lol

Actually, I've had lots of guys ask me about my fishing kayak when I'm hauling that so maybe it's not my ugly mug :notsure:

There’s not a person in this thread that would’ve said no to Burt Reynolds!!

    Ok... pop quiz

You’re married (or have a gf), any ladies in here make any necessary adjustments.

You come home early, only to find Burt Reynolds laying it to the old lady.

What do you do... what do you do?

Is he stiff or “a stiff” at this point?
