How are you unloading your Harley?

It's one thing to get a Softail or a Bagger into a truck, but getting it out is another piece of work.

How have you unloaded the hog out of your pickup truck, solo?

 

hehe I finally bought a wider ramp this week. I was using a old short skinny dirtbike ramp whats max is like 300 pounds. don't know how I got away with it for so many years without it crumpling. But yeah usually solo. It's easier with my FXR because of the front brake. but the chopper... it's sketch with just a back brake.
If you could find a decline like at the bottom of a driveway. that always helps so it's not so steep

 

I have a trailer with a ramp that I back up to the truck, back the bike down on the trailer, move the truck and then drive it off the trailer. Load in the opposite order. I block the trailer wheels and use a strap on the ramp to the truck bumper to make sure the trailer doesn't move during the process.

Seems to me to be the best way.

Why do you need to load a Harley into a pickup, anyway? It has wheels, and a motor that runs.

I struggled with double ramps for years before just buying a trailer

 

I don't own a harley but the black widow ramps are geared towards harley guys which connect and are about 4ft wide and can support like 2k pounds easy. Nice to have a hill to reduce incline and make rolling it in more safe than clutching.

Also very important to get a strap and connect to middle of ramp and hitch area so ramps don't shoot out under throttle..
