    Stock and staying that way
There are 10% under buffer springs (See taccom), but the job of the spring isn't to resist the action. It is to close the bolt after.

That buffer looks like steel. I know nothing about .450 Bushmaster, but you might see if a standard aluminum buffer is called for. Or if it has an adjustable gas block.

The gas block might be twisted on the barrel too, only exposing part of the port.

Gas block is aligned correctly, gonna take the buffer to work tomorrow and weigh it. Then probably start fresh with a new rifle length buffer tube assembly.

I’ve found all lowers to “work”, it’s the small bits that can be questionable. I’ve even had a PSA barrel I had to replace before even shooting it due to being improperly torqued and spinning off the barrel extension. Along with a misaligned gas port, it was unusable. They failed to warranty it. I run pretty much all Aero stuff, quality and honestly it’s not much more than PSA but I can count on their quality and warranty if it’s ever needed.

The gas block is not adjustable, no suppressor. I'm thinking it's a mid-length gas system (I'll measure this evening to be certain), the barrel is 18". The buffer that came out weighs 2.855 oz. and is 3.25" long. I talked to AeroPrecision yesterday and they recommended an H3 buffer (5.4oz.) or the rifle buffer (5.0oz.). I had planned to ditch the carbine stock and replace it with a rifle stock and new buffer tube assembly. I'll measure the current buffer spring also when I get home, I swear it looked longer than 10.5".

Yes, little stiff maybe, and will eject the spent casing when racking by hand.

I would start with the spring and buffer. Take a close look at the bolt headand pin make sure they rotate freely

So the buffer spring is actually 11" long.

It’s a work in progress, but the mag inserts and drops without issue and it cycles rounds with no problems. By the way, I bought this BDL stock for $30 on eBay so if I FUBAR it, I can always go back to my ADL stock.

I only have two AK variants...... Arsenal Arms 7.62X39 AK SLR 107FR and a PAP 92 AK pistol. I do have an IWI Galil pistol in 7.62 x 39 that is the most accurate, most reliable of all the AK's and all run perfectly.

After bedding the bottom metal for a better fit. Not perfect but should blend in more once I paint it. Now on to pillar bed and glass bedding the stock, along with stiffening the fore end. Goal is to get a consistent sub-MOA rifle in the original stock
