I mean it literally was 100% my fault. There is no arguing that.

Pro tip, don't attempt to hammer the whiteline bushings in. The fit was quite snug and I fucked up both bushings. Reached out to whiteline in hopes they'll sell me just the two bushings, instead of a whole set. Pics to follow.

On the plus side my homemade things helped press the small ones in with no issue.

Second pro tip, don't say "fuck it, what's the worst that can happen?" and just run the bushing in, pressing from the rubber and not the sleeve. Now the bitch is stuck as fuck in there.

    Fire, here we come (tomorrow).

Fawk indeed. So with the replacement set, I will be paying a shop to press them in. That way if anything gets fucked up, it's on them. I haven't paid a shop to do ANYTHING other then alignments or wheels/tires, so this will be weird.

I've heard good things about their CS. Worst case, the price is LOW right now on Amazon ($120 vs the $170 I bought it at) so I'll just buy another set if I don't hear anything in a couple days.

With that tube and plate you are on the way to making a press. Just get another tube that's the same size as the control arm and put a plate on it drill holes it both plates and run some all thread and nuts or a really long bolt and nut. Homemade threaded press.

I went to home depot and lowes today with my caliper, and couldn't find a single metal tube/pipe that fit my needs unfortunately. At this point I'd just like them in.

Well shit. At the shop having a bunch of old bearing races, exhaust pipe, etc we could fine something to work then with all my different bearing press adapters I could always figure out somthing to make it work that way. I assume the ones that are installed are good? The first pic of the messed up one still looks useable same with the 2nd one just with some file work to clean up the sleeve.

Good to know. If I go the whiteline route, I will just run them to one of the shops I have built a good relationship with near my office. I am sure either guy would press them in for me for a few bucks.

What are you going to do to rehab the ball joints?

Nothing as of yet. They’re still good, and replacement of those is easy on the truck.
