I only camp to fish, so I'm usually up at 4:30 or 5 am.

 

im usally up and feeding the pups outside the camper at 630-7am. then going for a 2mile+ walk. and they bark at things that early if people walk by or w/e but never had anybody complain. the baby sometimes cries and whines for food then too and if its not raining we eat outside.

 

No work for me today, I’m sitting on the porch watching some dude replace my windshield, then I’ll pack the truck and head to RI for a little weekend camping trip.

 

Id say anything after 7

I think 7am is reasonable, but I also have dogs that wake me up before then anyway. If you want to be nice, I'd say 8am.

 

The most recent campground I was at in MOAB was next to a school and summer construction started right at 6am. That being said I typically camp to travel/fish so I’m typically awake by 6-7.

 

Also, you're a neighbor, not on-site, so the distance creates a natural buffer of sorts. Could you start at the opposite side of your property and work toward the campground?

My neighbor said his mother (seperate properties right next door) is up by 6:30 and everyone else is up then too, and that is in the front of the property. So 7 seems to be fair game for motors.

Yeah I think 7 for motors is good, anything earlier is pushing it I think.

I am probably like 5-600 feet from their camping area , with a river and some woods between us. I think doing out front first is best if I start about 7, that gives me 40-50 minutes of mowing and 10-15 weed whacking and blowing before I move to the back. At that point if they aren't up I can't be concerned!

Been trying to do some mowing early evening as the tree line brings some shade to the lawn too.

I may have asked this before, but what dashcams do those of you that have them use? Every 6 months or so I look into them and then subsequently get overwhelmed with the number of varieties and features that are available and give up my search for one.

 

I have one from Amazon. Can’t remember the name but it’s in my build thread on the first page somewhere. Anyway, it works well. I wish it would record when I’m parked though.

 

I Haven't used it for much more than goofing on bad drivers, but I have the Anker Roav C1 Pro and it's been good:

I have a Kenwood one that integrates with my head unit. Pretty cool.

 

Yeah, I feel like it's one of those things you don't need, until you do, and by that time it's too late.

 

I was in the same boat when I was looking 3 years ago.
I settled on Transcend DP100's.
Have one for the Taco and FJ. I think they were just under 100 bucks each, and after three years use, no major problems.
The only issue was the sensitivity setting for crash recording. Had to turn them off as it would save crash footage from hitting bumps or potholes.
I'm sure there are better ones now, but I can't complain about the ones I have.
