The 2.7L Single Cab Thread

I'm not sure about you guys, but whenever I get something coming for my truck I have to stare at it for hours at a time. I also picked up some Tacomabeast headlights, I'm a little iffy on them but it's a lot better than what I have. Both headlights have broken mounts so they kinda flop around

 

I'm just leaving it with my family. Luckily my brothers a great mechanic and I trust him to take care of it

 

Any of you wundergenius’s have any ideas?

Anyone here do the recall for the catalytic converter? Mine started rattling about 5 months ago and yesterday threw a p0420 code. Looking into it saw Toyota has a recall for the cats. Would be nice to get it all replaced fo free!

 

In the same boat. Should have kept the single cab.

Did they replace the whole thing? Tailpipe & cats? I set up an appointment with the local dealership and they told me the recall was just for the tailpipe.. The recall notice is a little confusing as it says "exhaust pipe replacement for catalytic converter" but in the remedy section it says :

Exhaust pipe with catalytic converters - makes it sound like the remedy is to replace the whole kit and kaboodle. Am I right? Do I get free new cats or are they just going to replace a pipe? I'm certain my front cat is toast. Also, am I too late to get in on this recall? I do not have any kind of warranty left at this point.

 

Ok, but they did replace the cats. Ugh. Gotta love it.

 

I got myself some Tacoma Beast headlights while I wait for my armor, and I'm also ordering some black didgital camo wrap for the truck, make it all match again, at least the paint will stay the same condition by the time I'm done with the Navy, and hopefully by then I'll have the funds to get a real paint job

Yeah me and my friends are planning on it, the headlights are awesome. aim Is a little off due to the fiberglass but nothing I can complain about

Hey guys I’ve got a question. I went on a road trip last week roughly 2,300 miles and about 3/4 of the way through I started hearing a bunch of creaking/rattling and I couldn’t figure out what it was till I got home.

Turns out it’s coming from the bench seat and over any kind of bump or even movement shifting from side to side with your body while the truck is parked.

Considering the bench is still in the truck I can’t really figure out where it’s coming from, but before I pull the bench out and take things apart I figured I’d see if anyone else has had this issue and maybe a remity.

Not sure it matters much but it’s a 2011 4x4 mt 40k on the clock.

Mine did that too, springs under the seat come off eas . Mine all broke, over 600 to replace, hopefully yours just came off

 

I’ve got the bench out of my ‘13 sitting in my living room. Lady would love to see it gone. If you wanna road trip up here and pick it up all yours.

 

Well shit that’s a pretty penny I guess I’ll just have to pull the bench and take a better look.

Haha damn I was just in Yellowstone last week I could have made that happen depending on where you’re at, but I’m not sure when I’d be back in that general area.
