I never got the before and after measurements but I was told 1.5” is level and I had to buy a 2” AAL so the rear would level out with the front so I’m thinking 3.5” of lift

Oh wow..I honestly did not realize that much of a size difference. New to the whole truck and modding scene. Thanks for those pictures. Looks like I’m gonna mentally prepare myself for a cmc lol

That doesn’t seem right. They should be the same hight and just a difference in width. Here is the calculator from my 265/75/16 and the 285/70/16.

Here is your numbers and still showing only a 1/2” roughly a difference in height.

    F02121D9-8A3B-4AC7-AE28-3204BBC2AFB6.jpg

The one nice thing I didn’t notice before is that you can get a C load tire in the 17”

One thing I don’t get also is there is 1” difference between the “16 and 17” in height. The only difference should be the hole for the wheel diameter???

    I’m so confused LOL

Ya who knows. It is what it is i guess. Im sure they wont look that much bigger on the truck.
I got the c load 285, they are lighter than the smaller 275 tire

You've got to take the aspect ratio into consideration.
    275/70R17 is 275mm wide and the side wall is 70% of that, (275 x 70% = 192.5mm)

Don't forget overall height of a tire has 2 sidewalls.... From the ground you have the sidewall, then the rim, then another sidewall.

    192.55mm + 17" (431.80mm) + 192.55mm = 816.9mm or 32.16"

so the wider tire is taller because the two sidewalls are bigger.

    285/70R17
    285 x 70% = 199.5
    199.5mm + 17" (431.8mm) + 199.5mm = 830.80mm or 32.71"

That looks like a lot of thread showing. What spring rate do you run?
