There is something special about hitting 100K miles in a vehicle you’ve owned since new...

My dad bought my truck new in September 2009, and though it was legally my dad’s truck for the first seven years, I was the one who primarily drove it. I even took my driver’s test in it back in 2011. It had 20 miles when we bought it, and it had about 68,000 miles on it when my dad signed it over to me in December 2016.

As to be expected from a Tacoma, I’ve had virtually zero problems with it, and for the most part it has only required routine maintenance.

The most notable unscheduled repairs were a master cylinder in February 2014 and an evaporator core in September 2018.

    Here’s to another hundred thousand!!!

This truck has gotten me through two girlfriends, most of college (didn’t have a license when I started college), three jobs, and countless other (mis)adventures!

C'mon... I thought it was well established it doesn't count unless you're going over 70 MPH for the pic! what is this? 50 MPH tops at the rollover?!

I kid but at least you were accelerating towards 100K!

    On to the next 100k!

I have a bit of a beef with them...

I ordered a bronze sticker back in May in anticipation of this milestone, and the damn thing never arrived! There is no phone number listed on their website, and I’ve attempted to contact them via Facebook to no avail. They either owe me six bucks or a sticker!

Oh shit! I've made (2) separate orders with them and had no problems with either. Bummer!

My truck has been well taken care of, but it’s still been through a lot...

It sat in my parents’ driveway during Hurricane Irene in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and came through with no damage. It was involved in three fender-benders in 2015, two of which were not my fault. One of the accidents that was not my fault took place in October 2015 and involved a drunk old man in a Mercedes.

I worked at a bar for four years, and twice in a matter of minutes it came under attack from drunks on Thanksgiving Eve in 2016!

Hey, two of those weren’t my fault! I got rear-ended by texting driver in March 2015 and sideswiped by a drunk driver in October 2015. March incident was $1,200 in repairs and October incident was like $2,200.
