Water also doesn't slick up the track like a traditional coolant as well. That's a huge factor for racing as well.

 

Well then sounds like im gonna give water and water wetter a shot during the summer here. May mix a little coolant in just to be safe..

 

Yeah I'm over here at work right now and it is incredibly slow. Sometimes this thread is jumpin' and others it is about as dead as a doorknob. We can only talk about oil weight so many times you know.

Speaking of oil im now running 10w40 synthetic and the motor seems to be just as happy as it was with 5w30

Not my idea, but I saw where someone used a different color coolant for the intercooler loop so that if you did have a leak it would be easy to identify. Might be a thought if you're draining the system.

I've used water wetter on many a race vehicle. It's always been good stuff.

I know it’s not worth it for someone to sign up if you are just buying the coolant boost but fwiw I like their gasoline additive “performance improver”, and I just switched to their oil so I will see how it holds up after 12 months.

Mobile 1 has done me good so far, but I have decided to make the switch to a real synthetic oil not just marketing speak. In a year we will know the difference if there is one.

 

I personally like to run molasses in mine.

With all the coolant talk going on, truck said ambient was 113 and my coolant temp hit 206 on the highway home. First time in a loooong time. 60 water / 40 coolant with csf and 160 thermostat. At 60-65 mph. Kinda disappointed
