I think I'm gonna use the old cheater method of measuring vent temps until they hit a peak low and call it charged

I admit l that that's how I've done it as well and I haven't had any regrets that way, after rebuilding and charging a handful of systems. All the ones I've done though had the sight glass, are those still on most AC systems? Always had a base weight number though, so that makes it a lil tougher for you but it sounds like you'll be fine.

With R12 at least it isn't rocket science, the pressures are already pretty low compared to 134. So really, I should need two 12oz cans and maybe half of another.

I can go full "ziptiesandbiasplies" if that helps, maybe a Canuck or two will understand.

"The ol Bruce Jenner rod was fuckered when the owner went full chooch with a dicked front bearing. Now she's fucked right and proper mint. Put er together and send it till she goes full slot machine on ya."

I'm doing an impression, @Wulf will get it at least

Question for anyone who has with manual swapping on the 3.4. Is there a better transmission I could be looking at. I'm looking at just using an r150, would that be plenty for high horsepower? Thanks in advance.

The R151 is really the only option. They hold up to a decent amount of HP, even behind a v8

I don't think there are adapters to mount any other manual transmission behind a 3.0 or 3.4 (same bellhousing pattern). I did see someone machine their own adapter for a Muncie or something behind a 1UZ but that's pro-level shit

Toyota bellhousings are all the same. The difference is getting clutches and shit to fit. The 5vz with mz flywheel and clutch will bolt up to a mr2 5 speed
