I don't think his target audience for a TT setup is someone who will be fording rivers. For those people that are, they can always opt for a SC or go another route all together. Personally, I wouldn’t want a TT setup on my truck if my intentions were to go rock crawling, or hardcore off-roading, submerging the truck, etc. purely because of added complexity, regardless of turbo location. One more thing to fail when you’re miles from civilization. I would be opting for the SC setup. Significantly less complex and no submersion related issues to worry about.

Reality is the vast majority of these 4x4 trucks never even leave the pavement, and of those that do, very few are fording them.

I have a feeling most TT setups will end up on pavement pounders and desert runners. There are plenty of both to be found.

I read that and it doesn’t answer the question. Simply states not all items are in the box. There are plenty of turbo cars and kits without intercoolers. But that’s usually due to room. It would seem odd not to put one on the Tacoma considering the 10ft gap between radiator and grill, but that doesn’t mean it’s included.
But I would like to know, so if you Know the answer please reply with actual information.

This is what he told me about the supercharger kit. I don’t see why the turbo will be any different.

    From the description page itself:

Turbochargers : - Internally gated BorgWarner K03 Turbochargers (with hybrid Billet K04 upgrade option). Using dual scroll hotside and quick spooling turbine. The turbocharger selection grants maximum amount of torque possible at very low rpms. (Our goal here was to match the type of torque / response you get from a 3.5L Ecoboost engine, where the tacoma is desperately lacking).

    (K04 billet wheel 46/62)

Intercooler : Front Mounted Treadstone intercooler.

Manifolds : Utilitizes our Catted (or Decatted, please contact us) Dump Tubes

    contents -

    Borgwarner K03 IWG Turbochargers (2)

Front Mount intercooler + mounting hardware

    Exhaust components for mounting

Oiling and Coolant components for the turbochargers

    Intake tubing / intercooler tubing

More information as this is updated!

No issues with oil drainback mounting the turbos that low? Where are you pulling oil feed from? And what core are you using for the included intercooler? I am looking forward to seeing some results when these start going on trucks. Time for me to start developing a plug and play methanol setup for our trucks.

The rest of the world drives turbo diesels through all kinds of stuff. Granted they operate at lower temps than petrol they’re still hot. Is this an issue for them?
