E440BF94-58AD-4F8D-872B-77FD8F8750CF.jpg I will be missing the TWAT run this weekend, because we drove up north to the family cabin on High Lake outside of Boulder Junction for a week.

Google suggest route to the county dump from the cabin.

Heavily over-grown two track, soft sand, deep puddles, fallen trees, and a stream crossing. Google, I like your style!!

Been there. Google and garmin both agreed once to take me down a road that would have gotten most vehicles stuck.

New wisco owner, any recommendations for wheeling? I'm near Milwaukee so I'm expecting a long drive to go anywhere...

Planning on a potential trip to porcupine mountain in a few weeks in the UP, any ideas for around there as well?

I’m newish to WI but have explored some and think that “wheeling” in WI is mostly muddy logging roads. I live in Green Bay and MKE (sort of) and am game for looking for wheeling. Wife has a family cabin up in the north woods of WI and it seems like there’s endless easy but fun two track bouncy roads in the woods in the National and state forests up here. I’ve found some muddy sandy two tracks with stream crossings (just today I went exploring a little). Seems to be some fun roads in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National forest NW of Green Bay.

There’s a Trans Wisconsin Trail run by a group of TW members this weekend... https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/21021058

Welcome to WI and TW. Hit me up if you want to go out some weekend.

Haven’t done any off-road parks in my truck yet. I was spoiled and went to Utah a month ago and lived in California/New Mexico/Colorado the last few years so I’ve had trails to my hearts content.

Hopefully some of the other WI guys will chime in with other recommendations too.

Been there a few times. I setup one of my crawlers and Coffee events in June to go to the park. It's a perfect beginner park.

    Welcome!

There is a set of trails called the pipeline up in the Lakewood/Laona district of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest.

It has sand, mud, gravel and a lot of standing water, usually. I've been through about half of it and I always enjoy it.

The Trans Wisconsin Adventure trail is also pretty fun. It's a series of back roads and gravel and dirt roads stretching the full length of the state. From what I've seen, this would be good for a beginner, which I pretty much am. There are some areas that have been sketchy when it's wet, so you'd have to use your judgement.

Can confirm about Nicolet forest in northern WI - lots of cool logging roads and plenty of remote offshoots to choose from, with enough mud to go around in the spring; light to moderate difficulty, as some trails haven't been used in years.

I doubt there's much rock crawling in the state, though I have limited experience there. That aside, we of course do have a challenge lots of states don't: winter.

Anyone here interested in a used set of HD Dakars? 15k max, perhaps a little less.
