just came to light again as I bought a used tailgate from my buddy yesterday. currently rattlecanning it rustoleum "aluminum" which looks like it's close enough, I'll probably do a big graphic on the tailgate to make it less obvious it's rattlecanned lol

 

Sucks man, if any good out of it, it's a reminder for me to even check that stuff(trailer rental insurance?! Ffs) out before signing on the line. Who'd have thought you have to investigate something like that especially using a legit company like Uhaul? Crazy bad luck man

 

Shit happens, not too disappointed about the damage cuz it's a 15 year old work truck with 330k miles but I am disappointed with how it's been handled at every step on their end.

 

For sure, and for those same reasons, things that happen outside of our control, is why I daily a 20 yr old truck as well. These types of things don't sting as bad. This TW group of regulars is pretty wise and shit for the most part. Bunch of good eggs here

 

That's part of what has made getting rid of the yaris easier as well. I don't appreciate having a new car as much as I thought I would and it's nice not having to sweat door dings and other parking lot damages

 

I do appreciate the wide perspectives and (generally) valuable insights that a lot of TW members provide

That is a cool looking car, when I think of a Yaris I think of the early 2000s one my friend's wife used to have that looked like an egg, haha. Yours looks way better

Right now we're looking at possibly picking up my wife's uncles 2014 Rav4 at a 'family discount'...but we don't know what that is yet and it kind of depends on what that is lol.
