Hey guys I have a 2011 in magnetic gray and the color seems to be getting dull looking. Any ideas to make better? Is a repaint possible? I'm open to suggestions. Thx

Post up some pictures. Is the clear coat failing? How have you been maintaining the paint (wash/wax/sealant)? More background needed.

Currently out of town right now, but I bought it used year. Not sure how the previous owner handled the maintenance. But I wash and wax it. It looks nice right after the wash/wax but after that it just gets dull looking. I read the automatic car washes scratch up the paint and makes it look dull. But I only do hand wash.

Sounds like it maybe time to polish the paint. That will bring the depth back and make it pop. How often between wax and wash? Also, what wax are you using?

I take it to a hand wash place and get full treatment. I don't have the space to do it myself.

Take it to a reputable detailer who can offer any suggestions and do the work for you. Yes it’s a little spendy but I’ve seen a few cases where someone was unsure of what they were doing, broke out the rubbing compound and totally ruined their paint job. Detailers aren’t just for the rich or exotic cars. Pictures would be great though

It’s time to polish. Whatever they are putting on is temporary.

Thanks guys, I'll try and find a good detailer to polish it and seal it.

Do your self a favor and buy a DA Polisher. I did my 2010 this spring and my paint was dull and now it looks brand new A6A3D770-810D-49D3-9A27-19A6069ED017.jpg
