Good to know. The red ones are cheaper on Amazon but good to know about the black ones. Would it a be idea to lube the black ones anyways? Sorry for all the questions I just don't want to mess this up lol

Don't lube them. They don't need it.

So, i ordered these bushing and I kid you not.. the morning of the day they came it stopped creaking... Its been a couple days and nothing... Might have jumped the gun on these I just figured they were the cause of the noises. We'll see if it stays quiet or not. Either way will probably install these soonish since I have them

Just replace em regardless of noises or not...stock ones are guarenteed worn through if you have 50+k miles and have gone down a fireroad for more than 5 miles.

Mine sat for a month or so, I thought it was going to be a lot harder of a job than it was. Really only took like 20-30 minutes

I bought them to fix a clunk on someone's recommendation as a possible solution. Then I found the actual clunk. So it's been moved way down my priority list. I'm about to do a big service interval (150k), so I'll probably throw them on there at that time.

I think it's a "your mileage may vary" kind of situation. I have plenty of gap between my bumper and fender, so I plan to put the large bushing on bottom (as recommended by ES). Given your statement about hood flutter, you may consider putting the large one on top as many others have stated gives a little more gap between the bumper and fender (i.e. raises the body slightly).

Though, in all honesty, I don't think this is going to have much, if any, impact on the hood latch.

The more I think about it right now, the more I don't know what I'm talking about....so don't listen to me.

Just ordered some radiator core support bushings. I swear this place convinces me to buy something everyday. Good thread, btw.

For what it's worth, I swapped mine from little on top to big on top after it didn't fix my noise (which was something else alltogether).

BUT, when I put the bigger one on top it did increase the tension of the hood latch on the hood. It doesn't "spring" up anymore after that, I have to pull it slightly. So I'd go big on top first

Has anyone tried using these in the transmission mount?
