It’s hard to say because Jones will occasionally lay a proverbial egg every now and then. He looked terrible against OSP. Roids or not he’s a gifted fighter that probably uses his gifts better than any other fighter. I’m not much of a fan but he is awfully good but clean, and staying clean, how good is he really?

Conor gets an immediate match V Dustin if that happens.

Daily debate on MMA Junkie Radio last night. What do you think is the better route for Masvidal, going for the strap against Usman or a big money fight against Conor?

I’d say that depends on masvidal personal interests. I’d say he’s signs the dotted line against the Irish idiot after his latest media comments regarding mcgregor, if the opportunity presented itself. In terms of “legacy” or his desire for the strap I’d say he should hold out. “IF” Connor comes back I doubt it would be at 170. Unless they talked about a catch weight match or something. But JM doesn’t have anything to prove. He’s on fire after that askren knee.

I agree...I think if a fight between Conor and Masvidal happens sooner rather than later, there's still room for Masvidal to fight for the strap.

    Say JM and CM fight.

Who do you think gets it done?

If JM takes the fight and loses he definitely loses his shot at the strap and CM is back in the mix. Is the $ worth the gamble?

I still don’t think that Connor ever fights at 170. I’m just playing devils advocate.

I think Masvidal takes it, he has more to lose.

While I know Conor only wants big fights, he needs a fight to get back on the winning side of things. I am not completely sure if Conor wants the harshness of a weight cut to get down below 170, wouldn't be surprised if there is a 165 class initiated for him (similar to the way they did for Cyborg).

    Just my two Lincolns.

If anybody was going to get 165 started it would be mcgregor. If they officially opened a 165 division it would be stacked with killers

I would like to see him fight again, the build up to the fight is always so entertaining, and you never really know what's gonna happen when anyone steps in side the cage.

But...there's a part of me that doesn't think he will. If the money's right though...

Idk man. Something big enough came along I’m sure he’d sign. Does anyone know the status of his contract? Is somebody like Connor really under stipulation of a contract? It kind of does whatever he wants and Dana just goes along with it

He wasn’t the same after the Mayweather fight. His trash talk wasn’t witty and clever and strategic anymore. Watching him shit housed drunk at that Khabib conference was hard to watch. Wasn’t the same showman he was before

I don’t think CM has the same drive as before. He’s topped his bank account and he has steady income from his side businesses. Yes he still loves fighting and training for a fight but that hunger is not the same.

He wants that rematch with Floyd but I don’t think Floyd is interested one bit. Outcome isn’t going to change in a rematch. His gas tank hasn’t changed either.

I’m still shocked he agreed to that khabib fight. I’m sure he truly believed he was going to win but I can’t believe that. So satisfying to watch.

Yeah that was wild. Khabib is real. No show. No act. Just a genuine fighter who values respect. Polar opposite of CM

Anyone going to catch the card tonight? Nicco Montano is fighting on the prelims. I kind of want to watch that one to see how it goes. She's fighting Julianna Pena. Also, main card is Aspen Ladd vs. Germaine De Randamie. Ladd called out Nunez after her last fight I believe. I personally think Nunez will tear her up lol

I’m going to try to catch it tonight. Hopefully I can stream it from somewhere since I don’t have or planning to subscribe to ESPN+.

Personally I like Nicco. She was a huge underdog during the TUF season. Unfortunately all kinds of shit happened to her after. Ladd will get killed by Nunez if that happens and gets passed GDR

Yup, I like Nicco too and I hope she comes back strong. As for Ladd, I agree that she will get merked by Nunez. Just watching her stand up game Nunez is way more aggressive and precise. I'm going to try and stream is on my phone since I'll be at a birthday party.

I did too. He could do like that one fight years ago and work the forearms and elbows.
