Yeah, but dogs don’t get the beer shits from a weekend of Drifter camping and Coors light.

Sooo...how do you guys that have one clean the outside of your vagabond? By hand/pressure washer or has anyone been brave to run it through an automatic bay?

    Automatic all the way, haha.
Obviously it's not going to give you a polished finish, it doesn't really help on the front (cab) wall, and the soap kinda pools under the cab-over ...but it's automatic.

    ...too much shit to list.
I’ve washed my truck twice since I bought it.

Actually I washed it once. I paid someone else to wash it the other time.

Power-washed it half dozen times with no issues. Only thing to be careful of is aiming the power washer at the front slider window seal if you have one.

I can’t say I expected customer support for something I didn’t pay for! However, if you shipped this, the darn thing is lost - I never received it.

I agree lead times are little hard to swallow. I'm 4 months in right now and I am constantly thinking of alternatives! Waiting almost close to a year sure plays tricks in your mind!

Totally agree the lead times are hard to swallow but I am confident with time they will get better. The way I look at it is I can support a company that goes a little slower and delivers a well thought out quality product or a go fast company that rushes to deliver a product full of issues.

Im in the same boat being 5 months in and being told that second half of the payment is due 3 months before production starts. That puts me at 9 months if its happened today, most likely looking at 10 months+, takes less time to grow a baby lol

Has anyone picked the grey powder coat option yet? Curious to see what it looks like, what shade it is.

That is an interesting statement about a final prepayment request and sure seems odd to me. I am not comfortable laying any more $ ahead of time than I already have, especially when I am under the impression (documented below) that was not the agreement with me. It is already an initial substantial sum to be laid out on a promise to fulfill an order with a new startup company and people I have no experience with. Perhaps the agreement has changed since my order was placed (Feb 2019) it has changed?
Here is a quote from my order “The balance IS NOT due until we go into production with your camper. ”

Does it take 3 months of being in production?

    Hmmm.

This is the first time I've read 3, I've seen 1 month get posted here before. If you all ever have questions just reach out to Phil, no need for speculation

No disrespect intended in my post, just musing a bit (the curse of waiting?).

My last ‘reach out’ was unanswered. Not that it was a critical question, but with this type of information and no reply to my last email, it leaves me wondering. I have heard previously “just reach out to Phil”, so I did. No reply.

I recognize their business is small and they are probably wearing multiple hats. Therefore this forum is the place where we can raise awarenesses, wonderings and experiences, and is helpful. Running a small business is a big undertaking (My dad did it for 40 years out of the house) to be sure.

So, this being a small operation hundreds of miles away and no opportunity to “see or feel” the product, I rely in a large part, on others information and experiences. It might help if their website was more robust and some of our questions would be answered there, but again that takes cash and time bandwidth that they probably do not have.

    Thus I wait and listen.

I'm there with you and understand your sentiment.

Phil left me hanging 3 or so weeks one time with an unanswered question but I didn't take it personally (not saying you are) but I later replied and just said I was following up to see if there was any answer and got a quick reply. It'll work out, the only reason I replied is because once we start throwing out numbers without confirmation all of us waiting start to run crazy with it lol. Like you said, the curse of waiting!

Idk every piece of armor on my truck required full payment up front followed by a long waiting period. The fact that deposits are even allowed is generous.

FWIW I paid in full for my camper when I ordered - and before anyone starts thinking I’m Mr. Moneybags, I work in education so throw that assumption out the window :)
