@stu8319 One thing I should mention to help you install the radio flush, get a suction cup, put it on the screen near the bottom. This will help you pull the radio into the bezel better and make it flush.

Ok sounds good. I'm not sure when the scorch brackets will get here so I'll probably just install it the janky way at first because I'm ready for some more power to these kenwood speakers I installed.

Put my noico in the front doors, took 5 sheets to do the inside, outside and the seems on the door cards for both front doors.

I have 4 sheets left, and I plan to do the rear doors tomorrow with those.

Here is a demo to compare noico vs no noico.

Started the rear doors, I was able to fit a full sheet into the hole, so I didnt have to cut them up. Still have to roll it out, but its sounding better

I used the center of the speaker cutout to put in the middle of the door. I have a few strips left over for this door that I will be putting at the top of the door and the door card.

Sorry if this is hijacking your thread about the head unit, but I got it installed and worked through the quirks of setting stuff up. I can't get it to connect to my ham radio bluetooth device though, but I'm going to look into the third gen version of my device to see if maybe it will work.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in that I agree with your review of the unit. Solid sound quality and usability for a great price.

Glad its working good for you. Despite some of its flaw, I really thing its a solid unit that can only get better.

First thing first, looks like your famous, (took off Joying’s social media page)

2nd, which did you hook the aux rca and reverse rcas into? My manual seems to not have any info on it that I can find.

I plugged one of the yellow rca cables into the "v in" plug I dont remember which of the 2 yellow rcas I used, but try one, then the other. As for the aux rca cables that come off the harness, just plug them into the "r in and l in". Those will be for your aux headphone jack down in the console.

Awsome! hopefully this means that Joying will support our trucks with some firmware.

Odd question but did you ground out the brake line? I assume that’s parking break

Nope, there is a option in the settings to allow video playback while driving.

The only wire I cut (pulled the pin out of plug) was the blue/white thats in one of the un-used plugs, that was the remote turn on for my amps.

I believe those two small ones are GPS and TV.

So far I have it seems like most is working. I’ve found the rear camera wire and it works in aux but I can’t get it to turn on when it goes to reverse. Just gives me no signal. Also gmaps doesn’t seem to be able to find me although gps in settings seems to be working

Update I got rear working. GPS is still funky but I wanted to ask what you used to mount it? Screws from schoche kit and stock are too large?

Sorry, last question, how did you mount it up? Stock brackets don’t seem to fit. Schoche push it out too far ?

You can do it 2 ways. Cut the scoche mount front part off, or you can use the stock mount and trim the bezel (both need the bezel trimmed). Put the bezel to the radio and it will show you the tabs that you should trim off.

The scoche is just more secure than the oem ones.

Would one of you be willing to possibly do a detailed write up of the wiring when the dust settles?
