I got a Sport, only because I was too lazy to drive the 2 hours to Ventura. They wouldn’t do a dealer trade and the trucks were identical other Than the obvious. Plus the local dealer matched the prices I really wanted an Off-road, but really love my Sport.

    It's complicated.
    Thanks!

My new Tacoma looks naked on the sides; need to figure out whether to get running boards, or sliders.

No problem. After doing lots of research I decided on these and couldn’t be happier

The sport with the color matched fenders looks great in some colors, but I personally like the black accents on the cement grey.

I did some research and knew I could get a out $200 more for take off OR wheels/tires in my area which was important since I negotiated a set of 4R TRD wheels and tires.

All the Sports had chrome bumpers which drives me nuts in cement color.

Wow, my memory must be off. I remember passing on a few options because of the Chrome bumper and lack of crawl. I never even considered the SR5 so my memory was that all non radar bumpers were chrome.

I like the way my truck is, black accent front bumper and painted rear bumper.

The matching painted fender flares, front and rear bumpers found on the Sport model can easily be painted semi-matte black to match the Off Road model.

I would rather have those components painted rather than bare plastic anyways. Easily repainted or touched up if scratched or faded. Win win.

The rep at SEM products remarked how well this paint holds up, it has UV inhibitors to reduce fading.

You must have seen a bunch of SR5s. That chrome is fugly.

My Inferno SR5 had it, I swapped the endcaps out for black and it looked Soo much better

Have a Sport and have no issues Or think I need the extra gizmos of the off road.

But for sure I want to get an off road next just to try it out.

When I first got my 2019 OR I was put off a bit by the black fender flares since my last two where Sports. But they have grown on me to the point where I prefer them to the painted flares. I guess I'm a conformist.

Why do some people buy Harley's and some buy dirt bikes?? TRD Sport is for road warriors and TRD Offroad is for taking it OFFROAD,, smaller wheels is so you have more rubber then rim for OFFROADING. Terrain selection is for OFFROADING, Crawl mode is for OFFROADING, Skid plates are for OFFROADING, Bilstien shocks all the way around are for OFFROADING,, should I keep going? The sport model is for those who stay on the pavement and want to look good doing it.
