I will have photos of mine installed this Saturday. After that. You guys tell me if your interested. It should only take a few weeks to get them made. The company wants orders of at least a quantity of 50 at a time.

I don’t know exactly yet. We are still negotiating with the company that would actually manufacture the part for us.

Teaser pics. Pardon the 80’s kitchen tiles.
It fits perfectly. Now, we need to work on the finish a bit.

The replacement antennae cap is just set on the top for profile inspection. It appears to match the height of the low profile factory 09-11 antennae.

I think we are almost ready for final production.

Need this in my life. Have frontrunner racks front and rear and the front is shimmed with washers to clear the stoopid fin. Nice work!

    I have been swamped.

    In short, not yet.

But thank you for the jump start. I think I have some time on Thursday to address this. I’ll try and have more information then.

Thanks for the write up. I replaced mine with the stubby antenna. The 19 shark fin, wiring connector and headliner were a little different. Pictures of my truck can be found here.

Edit, I'm not getting any FM reception from my 2019, so I'm going with the shark fin, but replacing it with a ThinFin cover.

We are trying to find a manufacturer that isn’t going to cost us an arm and a leg. We have had three quotes from American manufacturers. While their quality is close to what we are expecting, their cost is considerably higher than expected.

My designer friend is also inquiring with manufacturers from other locations. We will have answers soon for that.
I was not able to get this done yesterday.

I did, however, get the final instal done today on my truck. I’m pretty stoked on the results.

I am not a professional photographer or videographer. I use my iPhone. I have a few that my designer buddy took.

The difference in height profile between the factory stubby antenna and the new “bullet” cap is about 2mm. The stubby cap being the slightly lower profile of the two. The difference is very slight. But more than likely necessary due to the extra electronics in the unit.

Truthfully, if there is interest, we would like to sell these. I am trying to keep the price point in the area of $40 per unit. These are high quality, finely crafted pieces designed by a dude that designs “real” stuff. I’m just glad he’s a buddy of mine.

Hey fellas, I feel like I am now clogging up a decently detailed how to thread with all my detritus. I’ll talk to a mod on how and if it’s possible to clean this up and start my own thread. I don’t want to rain on the parade of the OP for his fine contribution.
