It looks like the wheel didn't crush into the front door area.

Getting to start all over :)
Good luck...... I was out 10k with my after market stuff on my second gen. Only way to get more money is if you went to the hospital. Go now. Within 24hrs. Inconvenience payout.

Accident was not my fault either. Get ready for a nightmare of phone calls.

I got the truck through the company as an incentive but all the aftermarket items came out of my pocket, which is why the upgrade to a pro is on the table. If I can finance an upgraded suspension and some other perks then I won’t/can’t be too mad about replacing some armor etc.

We will see how it works out. I should have an appraiser look at it tomorrow

    Lots, straight from the factory.
Since you’re posting I’ll assume you’re okay. Sorry about the truck. That sucks. Maybe it’s just God opening the door for you to get something better?

Looks worse than my first '18, which was totaled. And my airbags didn't go off at all. I'd guess yeah, it's gone.

If it has been mentioned (I apologize), make sure you place separate claim for depreciation

Before this truck I was driving a Honda Fit to work. Would have been much different story in that car I think.

I was once involved in a collision and totally caught off guard by the powder, smoke from the airbag.

I’m thankful you’re okay. I also drove a Fit several cars ago. It was a fun little ride!

Good luck with that. I just tried it after my wife was in an accident and the insurance company told me I'd need to prove the loss of value by selling the car within 3 years. After going through that experience the last 6 weeks I'm convinced the car insurance industry is a huge racket.

Glad you're ok! Seeing accidents like this reassure me that purchasing my dashcam was a good "mod".

If I were to go back, I would have stripped it first. They wont see the aftermarket stuff as value to the vehicle. At leastthats what they told me. If you still have all the stock components just take a day and go replace it.

No worries brother. I don't take offense to much. I am usually the odd man out when it comes to opinions. So i have gotten used to people not agreeing with me. Lol. I don't think it's totaled though. I have a close friend whose father does nothing but buy wrecked Tacomas and rebuild them. Dude has gotten crazy rich doing it. He said if that was totaled he would buy it. $$$$

PM me if serious. They will give me a chance to buy it at their scrap value if it’s totaled.

I cooled off on the idea of the Pro, if I do end up replacing it it will be pretty similar but I’m going to look for a MT with leather. I’ve seen a few in my area so that will probably be the route I choose. I’ll stay with nearly same lift (will add Dakar instead of icon AAL and would go up another notch on the front end. This week should be telling. I’ll give an update once I know more

We went through it too. Took a full year to get anything. Wife’s car was 5 months old and in prime depreciation window. Progressive dicked us around (the other party ins) and at first acted like it wasn’t a thing and declined to pay diminution, then said that was handled by another dept, then offered a paltry $600 (car had $11.5k damage), and somehow kept finding more money when we rejected each offer. They tried to downplay my rationale for the claim stating the car was fixed “to new spec”. Finally, I told them to meet me at Honda to have the car appraised twice: as-is (repaired) and undamaged. They refused of course. They just wouldn’t let go of the “to new spec” so I asked them to clear the Carfax. No can do. In the end we got a few thousand but it wasn’t easy. Lots of phone calls. Take good notes. Get everybody’s name. We must have talked to no less than 10 different people. No offense OP but when you’re on the losing side of an accident insurance adjusters are complete assholes and are the shadiest and shiestiest of people. Basically just reverse sales people. I’m sure your MIL is a sweetheart
