thanks for the reply! I will take a look at what HRC offers. You are certainly correct, fairing damage doesn't matter if the engine & frame is damaged. I did read on multiple sites that shorter sliders is better than longer in most scenarios to prevent a cartwheeling yard sale.

I pulled the trigger on a set of womet tech rear spools, now looking for a deal on a used pitbull rear stand before buying a new one...
Some sliders will be the next purchase, perhaps some engine covers as well even...

If all you can get is covers then do em, look for race cases, way stronger than stock, cost more, but the first time shit happens, they pay for themselves.
Dunno if my friend does any cases anymore but he does have some cool stuff that WORKS
Factorypro.com I’ve got a set of prototype v stacks and a 3day custom built map from him... R1 puts a true 160 hp at the point of contact with the road, better yet, it makes nearly 80lbs ft of torque.

Agreed... I can have fun on almost any bike. The track is hard to top though!

Right?! It gets the least amount of use out of all of them. It mostly gets ridden when the wife rides her's. Besides it would make room enough for what 2 maybe 3 more bikes in the space it takes up? LOL

I hear you. I gave up my sport bikes 9-10 years ago and at the moment my Sportster is my only ride. It is fun but is pretty much middle of the road in all the categories. It handles well, but not as well as my old ZX6. It's comfortable, but not as comfortable as the baggers I ride with my father in law. But, it was cheap and it's still fun as all hell to ride. Hopefully one day I'll get a stable like you've got there to satisfy my taste for the flavor of the day.

Id be interested in taking my 690 to the local roadcourse but i think they require leathers. Id be fine with sliding in my mx gear.

Also saw this cool shark decal

Lol hard pass. That bike looks boring and After all the upgrades and changes for the 950 It seems like Ducati worked out most of the complaints from the previous 939.

to each their own. hyper is just a glorified sportbike.

Why do you say it looks boring? That bike can be jumped, offroaded, raced, hit twisties and its lighter by 100lbs. The hyper doesnt have the suspension travel for jumping or offroad

My thoughts exactly. I own a sportbike currently and dirt bikes didn’t do it for me really. Def diff crowd too. Im not ready to totally give up the sportbike life either so it’s appealing to me in that sense.

picking a bike can be very tricky these days, there really are just that many reliable bikes made now...

why pick between blondes & brunettes when you can have one of each.

not to mention the crazy redhead that few wanna admit to :drunk:
