Not bad. I'm trying to cool off before I get a shower.

Too bad you couldn't have taken the extra work from yesterday and done it today. That way it would have been more equal.

    Interesting. Can anyone confirm that?

I decided to go the cheap route with home-made Waxoyl and a garden sprayer.
Waxoyl is just beeswax dissolved in mineral spirits or turpentine.
The dissolving part takes quite a while...weeks in my unheated garage this Spring.
Probably a few days in this weather.
Some say to add light machine oil to improve spray-ability and creep on the sprayed surface.
As I understand it, Waxoyl originated in the U.K. and has been sold by that name for a very long time.
It's recommended to re-apply it every Autumn.

Anyway, I can confirm it results in a very tenacious film on metal parts.
And I can't imagine it would harm rubber.
Best applied when it's hot out. :p

Paraffin instead of beeswax supposedly works too:

    I should think so. :p

If not, I'll have to change my vote.
Back in the day, I had a Pinto wagon.
I recall a number of times pulled over on a dirt road late at night.
    With the back hatch up.
Not seen by anyone because no one happened to drive by.
    But if they had...
