Now that I’m thinking about it, my first episode was right around the time I was prescribed a round of antibiotics. At the time I didn’t know what was setting it off. I knew that certain foods would cause an episode. I did the juice fast thing and it disappeared. Couple years later I got my finger smashed in work and had to get it operated on and another round of antibiotics and it started to happen pretty much right after that. So my theory is that the antibiotics (which as one of the side effects causes some people to go deaf) are the root of my problem with vertigo but certain foods causes a reaction.

    Here are my Gaia tracks:
    https://www.gaiagps.com/public/323geppwvqlmFTgu4S486kd1

These show me going from the park area to the closed bridge on Auger Hole at the river. Then turning back, and on way back, turning right onto a route that leads to Jocassee.

Be advised that there is a spot or two that a spotter would be helpful on the route down to the lake. If it has rained recently, getting back up will be slippery as well.

I might still make the ride up there but depends on how bad it rains supposed to rain the rest of the week also I’m still on stock tires so idk if it’s a good idea

Rain makes it fun. Lots of puddles and stuff to splash through and it's NOT red clay. The first time I made this run was stock AF with street tires, not even ATs. I did have to use 4lo to get back out in one spot, though, only because I didn't want to send it hard and risk breaking someone being in there solo.

Great! I just didn’t know how bad it’d be if it rained out there I’ve only been when it was bone dry

Stock tires and rain may be a little iffy on your way back up if you take the side trail down to Jocassee. If you’re just taking chestnut road to auger hole to where the bridge end and comes back, you’ll be just fine!

Nodnod. Every other time I have been there I have crossed the bridge and rode into the game lands. That is the route we took for the big run back last January. The route to the lake has been closed EVERY SINGLE STINKING time I have been there. :( I was excited to hear they had opened it up, but another poster recently said they closed it again. Cannot verify.

That’s unfortunate :(. I haven’t been passed the bridge as it’s been closed since I got my Tacoma, so I feel your pain!

Lake route probably closed due to one rutted area that can be a little sketchy. Should be a quick fix, but they are probably focusing all their energy on finishing behind the bridge before hunting season

The rangers have told me in the past that those routes never open to the public. Same with the routes from Musterground on the South Carolina side. So much for consistency.

Who knows at this point then haha.

Would be awesome if you could connect musterground and chestnut/auger. Just leave us a key for the gate :)

Yea, I'm still down. The earlier in the morning the better. It's still going to get hot and I bet we barely see any of that rain.

I'm taking my Rubicon anyway with plenty of recovery gear so even if it did rain....no worries.

I wouldn't dare take my prerunner down in there with any amount of rain. Only got hemmed up once when it was dry, but I wasn't aired down.
