    she just wings it but i posted basically what she did above. just add the spices minimally till you get your flavor.

    i think the key basically is to use some of the water and bacon fat/drippings and cook it down. Salt and pepper to taste...it does take quite a bit of salt but you dont want too much.

    My recipe is pretty much the same except the bacon is cooked with the beans in the instapot. Use an immersion blender instead of mashing.

    I like the manual masher because it can leave some beans not as mashed and have a dual level consistency, but nothing wrong with straight up creamy refried beans.:)

    I think I'm gonna do some beef ribs in the crockpot on a video pretty soon... I'm thinking like a coffee garlic rub and let it go all day while im at work. Any thoughts or suggestions?
