Mega work tonight.
Broken parts and metal to fab





Epoxied the lower plastic back
Will look like this on the top when it’s done



I’ll put the brace on tomorrow morning and remove the top to see where to drill through.
Should be ok..

Then decided to polish my headlamps.
First time since new so grabbed the old shop unit.
We don’t use it anymore but I still like it..
Just have to keep after it. So I think once a year from now on.
Never realize how dull they are until you see a before and after.

Headlamps look great. Did you use compound, cutting pad or something else on them?

Just want it noted that I never said anything about #montanaminivandrivingwomen

 

All I used was the polish and protectant.
If you use a compound or cutting pad you really go after the uv protectant.
I try the polish first and if it has the deep yellow then you need to take off the uv layer and compound the plastic.
So in that case we use a restore with a clear coat with uv protectant.

Here is kit similar to what I am using.

 

So there's a UV protectant already in the plastic? Didn't know that. I been giving this a shot on mine and the wife's vehicle since we got'em and so far so good.
