    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

My wheels are 4.75 backspace, I run 285 tires, and 1.25 wheel spacers.

I have almost exactly 1.5 inch between gusset and inside sidewall. (1/4 inch clear is to close for me).20190708_084707.jpg

You may be ok with 4 inch backspace.

I'm essentially at 3.5 inch backspace, with 1.5 inch clear... I'm assuming you would have 1 inch clear running your wheels/tires.

Did you have to get a new brake pad shim kit or did your brake kit come with them? I’m thinking of going with the OEM brake pads.

Also when you replaced your lower ball joint what ball joint tool did you use?

Brembo pads came with mine. I just used what was in the box. They work well, but make a lot of brake dust. Eventually I'll switch them out with Akebono pads.

I always use a pitman arm puller to seperste my ball joints and tie rod ends. The one I have is like 15 bucks at harbor freight.

Ok. I just remembered we had a fun time with the upper ball joints and wanted to see my other options in tools.

We welded on the gussets to the spindle while it was on the truck. In the process the driver SPC upper ball joint boot got damage so I have to replace that. Was thinking of doing that while I replace my lower ball joint too.

Btw no spacers was needed with my SCS wheels.

We had a problem with the upper ball joints when we did your lift because we were seperating the stock UBJ. (those are just a pain in the ass on 1st gen).

The SPC UCAs have the inverted UBJ now so you shouldn't have the problem again. The pitman arm puller should work no problem.

They are outstanding. By far, hands down, best mod (for the money) I've done to the truck.

    Hi!

This is the next mod I plan on doing. What Tundra year should I be looking for?

I know 05 is one of the years. Not sure the begining and end year.

Also... if you search 13WL caliper. That's the one you want.

So I have the LCE brake line installed a few years ago, still on 15” rims but looking at a set of 16” now.
So the hard line from the LCE will line up perfectly with the correct angle with the 13WL?

Yes, because the LCE lines are basically Tundra lines, and Tundra uses the same spindle, so everything lines up.

The only problem I have now is I need quater inch bushings on the hard line mounting screw (to stand the mount off slightly) because my spindle gussets are slightly in the way.

It just threads in the hose at one end and directly into the caliper on the other end.

It literally sets it up the same as original Tundra.

This is "the right way" to do the swap.

Does anyone know if the All Pro Off-road braided lines will work with the tundra calipers?

Will it be plug and play or do I need to modify anything?
