Highway driving is when you least need the fan clutch engaged. But it shouldn't hurt I don't think

Gas mileage will suffer. Mine was sick for 2 years before I fixed it. Sounded like an 18 wheeler. Lol gained 3mpg after the new one

That I don't give a fuck about. I just am having an already sketchy drive driving there with no rear shocks. Don't want to add any other risks.

What are your ambient temps? As long as your coolant temps stays around 180 - 190 you should only see a small hit to MPG's. If coolant temps get too low, you might have issues with combustion efficiency.

Replaced my windshield fluid reservoir, changed my oil and added on the Arb snorkel. Stoked the snorkel went smoothly.

Was able to complete a big project on the list of mods today. All with huge heaps of help from Mike @In4aride (www.warfabarmor.com). Couldn't have done it without him - which is why I was so stoked to have his help! :D

If you want to read more (I promise it's not too lengthy) about the process - head on over to my other short write-up here.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
Drove it up to Pettit Jean Mountain to see how the new wheels handle winding mountain roads. It takes those roads very well. On the interstate coming home, it performed well on a couple of stretches at 90 MPH. It's a good thing I had slowed down before my exit. There was a radar trap in the median just past my exit.

Here's a couple of pictures from when I stopped to look at cloud activity coming up from the south with Hurricane Barry.

Found an 01 IS300 steering wheel to swap in one of these days. IMG_20190713_172110187.jpg

It looks like I can fill the backs of those shifter buttons with epoxy to prevent them from being depressed. That and a coat of black paint to hide the lettering should make them look and feel like switch blanks. Just need to find an airbag out of a similar year Rav4 and I should be set.

Finally got around to installing the 4Runner seats. Broke a damn bolt so tomorrow I have to drill the bastard out to get the 4th bolt in. Way better the the OG seats.

    I have mods
Tore the intake apart to do valve cover gaskets and to pull the injectors out to send them off to Witchhunter for full cleaning and service. Start cleaning things up tomorrow as best I can before pulling the valve covers. Lots of caked on dirt and mud in the valley. Gunna be a pain in the ass but needs doing. And the injector holes are pretty nasty too. Truck has been running great tho.

Good plan. The VC gaskets require opening the intake and exposing the valve train (as I'm sure you are already aware). I made sure to make sure my shit was spotless before doing the work as it was cheap insurance against getting dirt/mud in the motor. I paid a local company $200 for a professional detail of the engine bay before starting work. It looked similar to yours, but it was the best money I ever spent...
