Gave it a bath, took care of some pin stripes in the clear, and some McGuires wax/polish and the old gal sparkles. Another 100,000 and I’ll do it again.

Thank you! its still got some mud from a 200 mile overland adventure last week lol. IM finally off tomorrow and ill give it a good wash and wax/buffing. Gonna do some skid plate painting in bright red like the TRDs also.

 

Which mounting bracket did you go with for the Hayden?

 

Ordered a roof rack and installed a brake light switch, and changed the oil...

 

This is what I did to my Dad's skid plate it was rusty af.

 

It’s a custom bracket I made out of some flat aluminum.

 

ECGS bushing, no need to take the CV out of the hub. Line up red mark on the CV at 6 o’clock position and popped right out.

 

DIY.

3/16” steel flat stock. Longer hardware and some spacers/washers.

I changed the plugs today at 60K


Top left is driver's side front, and bottom right is passenger side rear etc. Edit, the cat knocked off the bottom left one and the gap closed. It was NOT like that when I pulled it.


I feel like mine had more of a mess of stuff to deal with than the tutorials I found here and on youtube. My fingers and hands are toast from working in such tight spaces. The driver's side is a PITA. I recommend doing that side first while your hands are fresh. The passenger side is cake in comparison.

 

My 2007 4cyl had the original spark plugs in it when I traded it in at 120,000. Never saw a need to change them as the truck ran perfect. Of course the 4cyl would have been simple to do compared to the 6cyl I have now , lol. Not looking forward to it as I just hit 60,000 on my 2015.
