    Hmm this pic of a taco CC harness shows the red and white wires going straight to the plug.FE7C15A9-BC78-4775-8C2D-2FD7F87573D1.jpg

    The IS300 has the white/black wire going to the down button on the left side and a yellow wire in its place on the plug coming from the buttons on the right. Something is fishy here. Why is the CC wired into the buttons?

    My steering wheel wiring is all apart, you can see how it’s wired. The white wire is common ground for all the buttons.

    I’d just leave them alone honestly. They’re not connected to anything at the Tacoma clockspring.

    Oh I see.

    Yeah wouldn’t hurt to cut the wires. Just make sure the grounds are still grounded because your horn or cruise control won’t work with a cut common ground.
