Help - I hooked up my Kenwood 9906 to the maestro harness which was connected for me by Crutchfield. I have everything working but no sounds. Alll steering wheel controls, camera etc work as I expected. I don’t seem to be able to pull up gauges or vehicle info - but everything seems perfect except the sound. Any suggestions @CoastieRon ?

That's whacked. What are you using as the source?

none of them work - I can see the display and the EQ showing audio in CarPlay or with XM or even with FM - just no output - trying a reflash of maestro to see if that changes anything right now

    Amplifier on?

I looked back one page and didn't see any history on Newftaco. So IDK what the setup is other than a Kenwood and Maestro were installed. IF you have an external amplifier, verify your amp on signal is happening. Otherwise I vaguely remember @destin_meeks saying something about Maestro and RCA wires before but I forget the details.

the correct USB as i can use that for carplay - Yeah - I have two 3.5mm plugs in that aren't currently being used - not sure what they were for but nothing in the diagrams suggests there are needed - but that might be the problem.

I'm using the stock JBL amp - and yes I suspect that it's just not turning on but cant figure out why (i don't even know where it is located).

I read up on the RCA thing - not clear how that would be relevant to me - but yet I have two RCA plugs that aren't connected but no free audio connectors for them anyway except the rear/front/sub RCAs on the radio which shouldn't be needed with the harness.

Do you have the factory JBL system? That will help narrow it down

If you have JBL, you want to make sure the maestro brain is flashed with the JBL software. Then go from there.
If you don’t have JBL, again make sure it’s flashed with non-jbl software, and make sure the rca ends have been cut off and it’s using the speaker outputs from the radio.

Yikes. That may be an issue. I did have the JBL system, and added an amp.

I want to circle back to this thread to add a couple of thoughts:

    1. Wireless AA is pretty sweet, when it hooks up. I would say it hooks up 85% of the time. Not a big issue for me, as I tend to put my phone on the usb anyway for charging. Phone is a Pixel 2.

    2. I am in the market for a new phone and have been researching the OnePlus 6T and the 7Pro. @bsbllclown how do you like the interface with the AA on the OnePlus phone?

Turns out iDatalink was having issues while I was flashing the Maestro - after that was sorted everything worked as expected.

    Good to hear (read)!

My OnePlus 7 Pro comes in today. I know I'm going to lose wireless AA, but I'm not unhappy about that.

So I have the deck in my old truck and now being installed into the Taco I just bought. The apple play is great, the android stuff not so much. There are some weird issues like music playing over calls, I’ve had to reset it a few times. It’s the dmx905s. Over all I’m very happy with it

System will be done weds/Thursday. I can’t wait. It’s nice to pay and be done with it, I installed for almost 15 years lol

Make sure you update the firmware on it. There was a new release in June I believe...
