Nice! Still deciding if I want to switch out my cig lighters for USB, right now I have the plugs just going into my glove box.

Finally gave my electronics some love, wired up a front camper, who knows may be useful on the trail...
Swapped out my AC knobs, these are better than expected. Previously a shop lost a knob and the metal inserts and decided it was a good idea to glue them on.. Nearly broke my controls getting them off... But with the new nobs no more worries about loosing the inserts and they are cheaper than OEM!
Also did a lot of re-wiring behind the dash. Installed a little Alpine Booster amp to get a little more power to the speakers, sounds great!
Running out of places for switches... But I found some that closely match the ARB set.

Driver's side also looks good. Everything is cleaned up on the motor and ready. Going to see if I can find a place to hot tank the valve covers. Injectors will go out tomorrow or Tuesday.

Changed oil from recycled dinosaur to synthetic and raised the bar for being stupid. Engine holds 5+ qts, my drain pan holds 4. After removing the oil pan drain plug I started on the rear skid so I could get to the filter and thought “why is my shoulder so hot?” Looked back at the drain pan and realized it was overflowing and I frying myself in oil. Stopped and cleaned up then went back to get the filter out. Naturally, I dropped it and watched it roll half-way across the garage leaving a trail of oil. So 30 minutes spent changing the oil turned into 2 hours of grinding oil absorbent into the garage floor and sweeping. Still better than the quicky oil change places.

I have that same wheel in my truck. I like the idea of coloring over the lettering on the buttons.

FYI even though the cruise control is plug and play, it won't work cause of different resistors in the PCB on the wheel.

I believe the Taco CC was changed after 2001, and everything Ive read points to this being 100% plug and play for post 2001 trucks. Read through this https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/after-market-steering-wheels-for-03-tacoma.1495/

So yes you are right, 1995-2000 trucks you need to resolder the resistors.

Yea from my research, that's what i've discovered.

Haven't gotten around to it, but was gonna attempt to swap around the resistors to try and get it to work again. Haven't ever worked with surface mount resistors before, so it'll be interesting when the time comes.

    Dude!

You should totally powered coat those while you have them off!

or just use the VHT ceramic coat in a can or whatever that people use for exhaust for a lot cheaper.

Powder coat would be sweet though for the bling factor. Plus the extra like 15 HP :D

Yeah, have a rear camper attached to my RTT. May relocated with the new swing-out bumper for a better view and potentially trailer hook up.

Can potentially run two more cameras to this unit from AUX inputs, maybe underboy or suspension views would be nifty! Also messing around with chromecast when WiFi is available! Tiny theater time lol

Thinking front for tight city parking and maybe trail runs, hopefully good for seeing more when going over top of a hill.

    L.P?

Don't want to powder coat but I am painting them and using VHT.

Clean but look like shit still.

Primed with VHT primer. Looking better. Letting the primer set and then top coating.
