Repainted entire hitch and electrical outlet. Wire brushed, sanded, primer plus two coats of black paint. Took a week to let all the paint coats cure. Cleaned up well. (Excuse the little bit of glare on the pic.)D754A41D-2C5C-4AC0-8512-FB6301917B22.jpg

I just did my spark plugs as well and found the drivers side to not be so bad if...

    8F7EC52A-DBF3-4722-899A-5A26BF67EA91.jpg
You remove the bracket marked in green. Unplug the plug marked in blue, then unbolt the little bracket it was mounted to, and lift the hose out of the clip (also marked in blue). And unclip the hose marked in yellow temporarily while you change the plugs. That’s what I did on my 2015 anyways. It opened it up quite a bit.

You installed the same clamps? How do you like them? Have you seen any movement in them?

Yes I did. I got the shell and used the 4 bolt type like you had. Camper shell had so much movement I actually cracked both sides of the shell. Got the clamps and now I run all 8. Zero issues now and I have no movement.

Hey thanks, it’s called a “FlipPac” but unfortunately the company went out of business but you can still find them for sale but used of course. There is another company that makes something similar now it’s called an “AT Habitat”. Anyway some things about it.

    Pros
    - super fast set up about 30 seconds without a rain fly and maybe 5 min with.
    - the bed area can sleep two adults comfortably on a full size mattress (I’ve just got a 3in foam topper it works great)
    - lot of room in the truck bed area to keep things stored, great place for the dogs to sleep, and it’s nice to be able to get dressed standing up.
    - up off the ground and a nice big space to hang out if it’s raining I’ve had 6 adults in the space no problem.

    Cons
    - it’s heavy about 300 pounds +- 50 pounds. I can definitely feel the weight fully loaded especially becuse ive only got a 4 banger.
    - it’s a little annoying if you plan on leaving base camp for the day to explore as you’ve got to close up the tent every time.
    - the “torsion bar” is known to fail like in mine so I’ve gotta the “torsion delete mod” and it works well to open and close just a little inconvenient at times.

Over all I really enjoy it I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but for me it’s great.

    Side view closed up.

Sleeping area above the cab. 3in foam topper and double sleeping bag.
