(SOLD) LC7i and Plug-and-Play Harness

Up for sale today we have

-AudioControl LC7i
-AudioControl ACR-1 bass knob
-Fully complete wiring harness to wire up the LC7i and a 4/5 channel amp to the factory radio.

Used for about 1 year in my truck. I recently upgraded to an aftermarket radio and no longer need these parts.

This harness is completely plug-and-play, saving you hours of looking up wiring diagrams, soldering, or cutting factory wiring.

All connections are soldered and covered in heat shrink.

LC7i is still in mint condition. I do car stereos professionally so I assure you it was never abused or installed incorrectly.

I can also provide extensive and detailed help in the install process for those not familiar with car stereo installations.

I’m asking $250 shipped for the bunch.
LC7i goes for $200 new
ACR-1 goes for $50 new
Rolls of speedwire go for $25 each new (2 rolls included)
Labor to have this harness built would be billed at 2 hours (standard shop rate is $100/hr)


I’m not trying to make any money, just want to recoup what I have in it, minus a bit for age/use.



For those that don't know, speed wire is 9 wires bundled into one casing. This allows for neatly running speaker outputs from an aftermarket amp back to the radio location to be connected to the factory wiring. Here is a pic of how it is used at the amp

Both lengths of speed wire are long enough to place the new amp and LC7i anywhere along the back wall of a double cab. Here is where I have my amp mounted, and where I had the LC7i mounted before I removed it. It was on the side of my subwoofer box

 

If anyone is looking for a pnp solution to add an amp to your factory stereo, this is your chance. Btw, it would help other people if you posted up a pic of the amp output side of the speedwire since others will wonder how it will connect to amp with the pics provided in the post. GLWS

 

Also would help with a length of both ends of speed wire (where does the lci go and where will the amp go)

Nope! Any 4/5 channel amp! The LC7i creates nice clean RCA outputs using the factory audio signal. These RCA outputs get connected to your aftermarket amp, then the other side of the harness connects to your amp’s speaker outputs, routing that signal back to the factory wiring behind the radio. This removes any cutting, splicing, or worry!

Thanks! I am very particular about my wiring. That is where most issues I see come into my shop arise. Sub-par workmanship on the wiring creates so many headaches so I want it done right the first time!

 

Maybe a stupid question, but would this be worth installing even if I don't have a sub?

 

This would absolutely still work if you don’t want to add a sub.

It is ready to go if you decide you want one though!

Would this work with the factory JBL audio package if i want to keep the stock JBL headunit and factory sub and amp, but want to upgrade the tweeters and door speakers? I wouldn’t be adding another sub, but would like an amp
to power the new door speakers.

 

Unfortunately there are a lot more hoops to jump through when you have the JBL system and this will not work with that.
I would look at getting the PAC AmpPro for your truck, which will talk to the digital audio system and create true RCA pre-outs that can then be hooked up to a new amp, while leaving the JBL amp in place to power the factory sub.
This will, however, require some splicing and wiring connections. But these are made much easier with the

Is this still available? I am interested. Do not need ACR1. Offer $200. Will it work in 2015 Taco with standard OEM radio?

 

This would work on a 2015 with non-JBL audio. PM inbound

 

To anyone on the fence about running RCAs.

DO IT. it's worth the extra time involved running wire from the headunit to the amplifier. You will notice quite a notable difference in sound quality as the JBL amp runs on a 2 channel stereo input and creates a signal within it's internal circuitry. There is so much quality lost by retaining 2 channel input over running a true RCA speaker input to the amp. I regret not doing it sooner to my setup but am so glad I finally did the extra work to do so now.

 

This particular wiring setup is for NON-JBL systems. As such, we are working with existing hi-level signals and RCA cables aren't an option
