    There's never one singular group.
    Some people head out on Friday, some a few days ahead of time and some head down the day of.

    My family and I are heading out Friday evening around 6.

    Heading out super early on Saturday with a toddler and an infant is out of the question for us at this point. Which is why we're getting a hotel for this Friday and Saturday in Harlingen.

    I left the original post as is from the very beginning.

    3 years ago is when I started to not drive out early Saturday mornings. Plus it sometimes wasn't ideal for some people living on opposite sides of SA to meet up in one location just to head out together. It is fun though driving in a Toyota convoy increasing in size the further south you go! :p

    Maybe meeting up with the Corpus group would be more ideal for some SA peeps or anyone coming from some place further if they are driving down Saturday morning. :)
