Posted this image of my relay a few weeks ago. I got lucky and instead of never turning off mine just never turned on.

 

installed a

$588 arb CKMTA12 '12V' on-board twin high performance air compressor, ideal for air lockers locking differentials, tire inflator, air horn, air tools and pneumatic tools.

arb CKMTA12 compressor, using a slee offroad (2nd gen) mount, CH4X4 'small' toyota switch and picked up custom length hose and elbows and stuff from comoso (controlled motion solutions) in chula vista - SD. the chuck is mounted out the drivers side of my front bumper

This may have been asked before, and I apologize if it has been but is there a way (or a special tool) that can be used to to remove the tubing from theses kinds of fittings? TIA

 

I'm pretty sure you just push the collar back and then pull the hose out.

 

Tried that. Couldn't get it to unplug.

Try slipping a 1/4" open end wrench over the tube and use that to compress the collar fully before trying to pull the tubing out.

 

Air Zenith OB2 mounted under the hood, currently tankless. Check out post #198 for more details.

 

Might need to push the tube in slightly as well to break it free of the tangs in the fitting. The collar releases the tension but they frequently stick in the hose.

 

Looking for some mounting ideas for a 20lb c02 tank

 

ordered the wheelers mount for the tank, its going be taller than my bedsides. Ill probably end up mounting it at an angle and calling it good

 

never know when that compressor will come in handy. airing up an aircraft tire for a days work

OK not to MOUNT it vertical, but it must be vertical when actually being used.

 

Is it possible to break the air manifold inside an ARB Dual Compressor?

I replaced both of the relays in mine yesterday and as I was wrenching in the pipe coming from the compressor, I heard something go POP! Is it possible I screwed the pipe in too tight and cracked the manifold?

 

Anything is possible, especially if the manifold is pot metal. Is the pipe still tight? Did it loosen up when it popped? I assume it is NPT threads which are self sealing, so you shouldn't have to crank the shit out of them.

 

The pipe is still tight, but it leaks like hell.

 

I'd say most likely cracked the manifold then.
