Got a leak behind the wall in my shower which might be grounds for a full master gut and remodel. I’ll have to remember to replace the old toliet with this

Built another tree ring today. Need some topsoil, compost, and mulch to finish it off. Also got my paver edging laid to finish the front flagstone sidewalk.

 

In my neck of the woods S traps are not up to code because they can create a siphon and drain the trap, and what the heck is that contraption you're replacing?

It's a big trap with cleanout plug on bottom.

It's my only option with the drain coming up from the floor (it's a basement bathroom).

 

Going to try my hand at roofing my shed the next few days. Question about the starter course, I know to cut back 6” each row up. When I get up to the row that starts with a 6” shingle what do I start the row after with? Do I add 6” to each shingle or do I start with a full shingle and start over again?

3 tab or architectural? When we roofed my house with architectural i believe we did 6”, 11”, 17”, then full. Check the bundle of shingles, should have the pattern and nailing sequence printed on it.

I got it. Says at last shingle row to repeat steps 1 through 6

 

U gonna want to strip these off first lol
Use a flat shovel and be sure to get all nails/staples or they’ll poke holes from underneath
But I’m sure u knew that
What kind of underlayment u using

 

That’s the plan. I’m sure I will find some rot under it too. I know it’s just a shed but there’s no drip edge or felt paper under it. I will be adding that too.

 

Not completely necessary on a shed but if u pop a line every 11 5/8” it’ll give u a good reference for every other row
