Looking for a set of Thule XK1 adapters

What's up Tacoma World! I'm writing this post as a last ditch effort to find a set of Thule XK1 adapters that work with the 422XT Thule Xsporter. My pops gave me a set of 422xt Bed Racks, but of course the stock brackets dont work and my 2014 Tacoma requires the XK1 adapter, which is discontinued and not easily available on the internet. Would any of you fine members of TW have a set you would be willing to sell? I'm really trying to throw some 18 foot Kayaks on my truck for a Tahoe trip in 2 weeks!

Two suggestions might help. First, have you tried calling Thule directly? I have several of their racks and whenever I happen to be missing parts I've called them an ordered the parts and pieces I need direct. Might be worth a shot. Second, troll Craigslist for folks selling their racks -- there are usually a lot. You might get luck that way. I found mine at REI and got lucky for once. Wish you luck in the search!

Thanks for the reply. I have talked to thule and they do not make them anymore and they do not have any left in stock. I also have been checking the craigslist in my area. I did find a Bike website through an old TW thread, that sells the two pieces of the bracket separately but they dont have enough for a full set. Bummed I have these nice racks that were given to me but cant use them. (YET)

 

Thanks for the reply! The XK3 do not work unfortunately. I have a set of those I bought off Amazon but they are designed for the xsporter 500 not the 422 (which is the older model, bought in 2008). I appreciate the help though. The search continues!

OP. I feel your pain. Keep searching. Maybe look for the actual rack on CL and then see if they have the XK1 adapters. If you get the old racks dirt cheap in CL it may make sense. For example, not this but something like this:

Obviously you will want something closer but maybe expand the CL search for the actual rack itself and you might get lucky and find they have the adapters. I got my Thule racks as a pile of parts for like $75 and then had to chance down the parts I was missing. This was easy because the instructions are pretty good and they identify all of the parts and part numbers.

Someone dumping their old rack on CL may offer your best hope !
